Live-in Care Services
We also provide Live-in care where we send our carer/s to live at the client’s home for purposes of providing care. We follow the following steps before any live-in is agreed:
Step 1: We receive an inquiry from a potential service user, carer or relative.
Step 2: We make an appointment for our Registered Care Manger to discuss the care needs and we also use that opportunity to explain our services. This service is free.
Step 3: We allocate a Social Worker/Registered Nurse to do free care needs and risk assessment. The main purpose of this step is to seek understanding of the service user’s choices and how we could meet them. Following this, we then provide a non-obligatory quotation. This is also free.
Step 4: After the needs assessment, we develop a care plan in collaboration with the service user or his/her family.
Step 5: We then identify a suitable carer to match with the service user. This is an important step as the success of any live-in placement is dependent on the match of the service user and the carer.
Step 6: Our Registered Manager, with the service user’s agreement, visits the client to assess/review how the service progress and make any changes if need be. We understand that relationships can be difficult.
These steps can be held concurrently and shortened to meet service user’s care needs.
All services are delivered by staff who are fully trained, competent and (where appropriate) qualified.
